14pt;\"><strong>BIOGRAPHY<\/strong><\/span><\/h1>\n<p style=\"line-height: 1;\"><span style=\"font-family: Roboto; font-size: 10pt; letter-spacing: inherit;\">Edgar Insuasty was born in San Juan de Pasto, Colombia, in 1972. A plastic and visual artist, he has always maintained painting as a plastic base for reflection and a point of departure or arrival. The canvas or paper can form part of other larger structures and is generally the result of specific actions methodically developed. Therefore, the value placed on the processes is enormous, and the details of its completion are equally central to the work.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"letter-spacing: inherit; line-height: 1;\"><span style=\"font-family: Roboto; font-size: 10pt;\">His work speaks of the problems of isolation and displacement, those metaphorical distances that migrations generate, and  the circumstances resulting from the sensitive distancing and separation from the place of origin. As a constituent part of that need for movement, the journey, for Edgar, is a learning strategy and a creative tool.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"letter-spacing: inherit; line-height: 1;\"><span style=\"font-family: Roboto; font-size: 10pt;\">Since 2007 he has been working in prisons through the artistic-pedagogical uses of art.
